Continuing in the footsteps of his grandfather and agency founder, Thomas Garrison, as well as his father, Paul Cash, Spencer began his insurance career at Mimosa Insurance Agency in 1981. A Morganton Native, Spencer is a graduate of Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida and holds the following designations:

CFP: Certified Financial Planner

CLU: Chartered Life Underwriter

ChFC: Chartered Financial Consultant

CIC: Certified Insurance Counselor

Spencer is a past recipient of the Association Achievement Award presented by the American Association of Managing General Agents.

He has served on the CAPIA (Carolina Association of Professional Insurance Agents) Board of Directors as well as the Certified Insurance Counselors Advisory Committee. He is also a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina, and has served previously on the Board of Directors of the Burke County Chamber of Commerce.

Dalton joined Mimosa Insurance Agency in May of 2008. He is a graduate of Appalachian State University's Walker College of Business-Brantley Risk and Insurance center with a Bachelor of Science degree in Risk Management and Insurance. He was the 2008 recipient of the John P. Young Memorial Insurance scholarship at Appalachian State.

A native of Morganton, Dalton is a member of the Risk Management and Insurance Society of Appalachian State University and the Carolina's Chapter of the Risk and Insurance Management Society. He is a member of the Young Agents division of the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina, having served on the Young Agents Committee. He is a Past President of the Morganton Rotary and Optimist Clubs. He is a Past President of Burke County Habitat For Humanity and current Vice-President of the Western Piedmont Foundation. He is Immediate Past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Burke County Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on the Board of Directors of  Burke County Emerging Leaders. He has previously served on the Boards of Directors of Burke County United Way, Burke Arts Council, The Enola Group, Appalachian State Wilson Scholars Committee, and the Board of Trustees of the Historic Burke Foundation. He holds the Certified Insurance Counselor designation from the National Alliance and specializes in personal and commercial lines of insurance.

Barbara joined Mimosa Insurance Agency in August of 2007.

Having worked in retail sales prior to joining our agency, her Customer Service experience encompasses over 35 years and includes such former positions as Manager of Cato Store and Assistant Manager of Graham Store.

A native of Morganton and graduate of Morganton High School, Barbara is a former member of the Burke Chorale and a current active member of the Sandy Beach Shag Club.

Barbara retired from Belk's and the retail fashion industry in 2007 and joined the Mimosa team shortly thereafter.
